Lee was near and dear as my Agriculture APCD. He truly keep an eye out for all of us as a mentor and friend. When Chip and I returned to the States he kept us in his address book and we exchanged Christmas cards and letters. He attended the 1987 reunion and had bought a ticket to attend the 2008 gathering when he became too ill to travel. I know he really wanted to stay connected to us and I know he charished his years in Lesotho. Linda H

Lee Jink's career in agricultural sciences took him from County Extension Agent to Associate Director for the Peace Corps in Lesotho, passed away at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills, Florida.
Mr. Jinks had a long and distinguished career in the field of agriculture with an emphasis on dairy, poultry, horticulture and youth education. In 1970 he undertook a three-year post with the Peace Corps as Associate Director in Lesotho, working to establish programs in forestry, fisheries, renewable energy and clean water, and initiating the introduction of strawberries as a cash crop.
