Metsoalle,
We are in the last lap of planning for our Reunion, which is only 50 days away.
Here are some key things I need you to do or be aware of:
• Need someone from your entourage to volunteer to take Reunion pictures which we will post on our Facebook and FOL web pages. Prefer one of your guests so you can fully enjoy Reunion. Contact me if you have a volunteer.
• Since we are honoring our deceased colleagues who served in Lesotho, would like you to look at Memorial List, which is attached and if you have a picture of your colleague please bring it to the Reunion or send it to me and I will get it to our Program Committee, which is handling the Memorial Commemoration. Pictures of volunteers from Lesotho 1967-69 are being taken care of. If you have more information on people on Memorial List, let me know too.
• Remember to bring with you some Lesotho artifacts and memorabilia which will be displayed at the Reunion
• Lastly, continue to contact fellow volunteers to remind them about Reunion. While it is nice to meet volunteers from other years, it is always special to reconnect with people from our own group
My next information for you will be about our final Program Agenda and our auction of Lesotho artifacts and other items at the Reunion.

I received a note from Sherry who is on the Planning Committee for the 50th Celebration and All Lesotho Reunion. Here is an excerpt:
"......we are also planning RPCV-Lesotho activities that will be a great way to reconnect, reminisce, and see how others are staying involved and connected to Lesotho. Our events will be a welcome reception and no-host bar on Friday evening, a Friends of Lesotho program/event on Saturday, and great Lesotho participation for the closing parade on Sunday. Our goal is to get at least 200 volunteers to represent Lesotho. "

I am posting this link to the National Peace Corps Association site that seems to be coordinating the 50th Reunion activities.

If you scroll down to the Blog section there is information about accommodations. Looks like we need to act quickly to secure a place where we can be together. At this point I am looking for others that are planning on attending so we can organize to be together as a group. Please get in touch with me if you would like to participate . Linda Henry
50th Anniversary of Peace Corps& FOL Lesotho Reception
September 21-25, 2011
Washington DC
This note from FOL:
The Friends of Lesotho group is very excited about next September's Peace Corps 50th Anniversary celebrations.
Plans are underway to have a number of fun and inspirational events in Washington D.C. from September 22 - 25, 2011. Besides the fact that we will have a Friends of Lesotho reception for visiting with fellow RPCVs from Lesotho, we thought it would also be a fun idea to encourage mini-reunions with your fellow volunteers. Right now, we're trying to identify people who would be willing to rally their group in order to have a strong Lesotho showing in Washington D.C. ~ A plus is that Washington D.C. is also a fun place to be a tourist.
Sherry Hellenkamp has agreed to be on the national planning committee. Chip and I will keep everyone up to date on plans with this page, e-mail and FaceBook notes. Be prepared to be pressured to come :-) Linda H.
